Kipton J.V. Lundquist, M.D.

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

      r. Lundquist was born in Minneapolis and grew up in Edina, MN. He attended Brown University in Providence, R.I., graduating with a degree in Biology. He then attended the University of Minnesota Medical School, graduating with his M.D. in 1973.

His surgery training began with a rotating internship at the Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), and he completed his residency training in general surgery at HCMC in 1980. He then went to Kansas City, MO, where
he took his training in plastic surgery at the Truman Medical Center with Dr. Fred McCoy.

Dr. Lundquist returned to Minneapolis in 1983 to join Dr. Lyle Kragh in private practice. After Dr. Kragh's retirement in 1984, Dr. Lundquist practiced in his solo practice until 1990. At that time he merged his practice with the Hennepin Faculty Associates (HFA) and worked for them for 19 years. His decision to return to private practice was made after HFA closed the Edina plastic surgery office at the Southdale Medical Center.

Dr. Lundquist practices "general" plastic surgery, and enjoys the variety of both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He is fully trained and board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has maintained these credentials since they were originally earned in 1984. His special interests include cosmetic surgery such as aging face problems (facelifts, eyelid procedures), breast enlargements/lifts, and liposuction. His reconstructive surgery experience is in treating skin cancers, breast reductions and reconstructions, and the entire area of body contouring surgery, especially following massive weight loss.

Dr. Lundquist and his wife, Martha, have 5 adult children and 4 grandchildren so far! They still reside in Edina, MN.
